Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 6: +1,090 troops and 363 drones

Over the past day, from October 5 to 6, Russian forces lost another 1,090 soldiers on the front. Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 5 tanks, 18 artillery systems, and 63 vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to October 5, 2025, are approximately:
- Personnel – about 1,116,340 (+1,090) killed/wounded;
- Tanks – 11,235 (+5) units;
- Troop carrying AFVs – 23,313 (+14) units;
- Artillery systems – 33,464 (+18) units;
- Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) – 1,516 units;
- Anti-aircraft systems – 1,223 (+1) units;
- Aircraft – 427 units;
- Helicopters – 346 units;
- UAV operational-tactical level – 67,226 (+363) units;
- Cruise missiles – 3,841 (+38) units;
- Warships/boats – 28 units;
- Submarines – 1 unit;
- Vehicles and fuel tanks – 63,496 (+63) units;
- Special equipment – 3,971 units.
Situation on the frontlines
As of the evening of October 5, there were 192 combat engagements on the front.
The most significant number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions — 39 in each.
