Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 5: +870 troops and +18 artillery systems

Over the past day, from October 4 to 5, Russia's army lost 870 soldiers and about 60 pieces of military equipment on the front line, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Frontline situation and massive shelling of Ukraine
As of the evening of October 4, there were 143 combat clashes on the front line. The heaviest fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions.
Overnight, the aggressor launched a massive attack on Ukraine with strike drones, as well as cruise and Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.
Zaporizhzhia came under a large-scale strike. The city was hit by at least 10 Shahed drones and guided aerial bombs. Residential buildings were damaged, fires broke out, many people were injured, and one person was killed.
The enemy also carried out a massive attack on Lviv using drones, cruise missiles, and Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.
