Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 29: +1,360 troops, 72 drones, 45 artillery systems
Over the last day, from October 28 to 29, Russia lost 1,360 soldiers, 9 armored combat vehicles, and almost 90 units of automotive equipment at the front, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to October 29, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 692,080 (+1360) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 9129 (+9);
- armored personnel vehicle - 18,404 (+9);
- artillery systems - 19,917 (+45);
- MLRS - 1241 (+1);
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 984;
- aircraft - 369;
- helicopters - 329;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 17,939 (+72);
- cruise missiles - 2,625;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and tanks - 27,749 (+89);
- special equipment - 3,566 (+10).
Situation at front and Russian shelling
According to the ISW, Russian invaders succeeded in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.
On the evening of Monday, October 28, Russia's military launched Shahed-type kamikaze drones in the direction of Ukraine.
Russian drones flew into the country's airspace in several waves. As a result of the fall of the Russian drone wreckage in Kyiv, a house was damaged, a fire broke out, and there were victims.
In addition, at night, Russians attacked Kharkiv with a heavy bomb. A house in the private sector was destroyed, and there were killed and wounded among residents.
