Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 22: +1,350 troops, 71 drones and 34 artillery systems

Over October 21-22, Russia lost 1,350 soldiers at the front. In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 34 artillery systems, 71 drones, and 8 tanks, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to October 22, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 681,580 (+1350) Russian troops;
- tanks - 9079 (+8);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 18,199 (+24);
- artillery systems - 19,623 (+34);
- MLRS - 1234 (+2);
- anti-aircraft systems - 981 (+2);
- airplanes - 369;
- helicopters - 329;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 17,404 (+71);
- cruise missiles - 2,625;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 27,111 (+77);
- special equipment - 3499 (+20).
As of early October 22, 134 combat engagements took place at the frontline. The largest number of engagements was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors.
