Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 22: Almost a thousand troops

Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Sunday, October 22, amounted to 980 occupiers, with the total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion reaching 293,830 military personnel. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 18 tanks and 19 armored personnel carriers, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to October 22, 2023 are estimated as follows:
- Personnel: Approximately 293,830 (+980).
- Tanks: 5,081 (+18).
- Armored personnel vehicles: 9,631 (+19).
- Artillery systems: 7,032 (+15).
- Multiple launch rocket systems: 825 (+3).
- Anti-aircraft missile systems: 549 (+1).
- Aircraft: 320.
- Helicopters: 324.
- UAV operational-tactical level: 5,339 (+9).
- Cruise missiles: 1,535.
- Ships/boats: 20.
- Submarines: 1.
- Vehicles and fuel tanks: 9,404 (+13).
- Special equipment: 991 (+1).
Frontline situation
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces continue to defend the eastern and southern regions, conducting an offensive operation on the Melitopol and Bakhmut directions. There have been approximately 80 combat clashes in the past day.
