Situation on the front

As of the evening of November 9, 248 combat clashes were recorded on the front during the day. The largest number of battles was again in the Pokrovsk direction.

Many of Ukraine's defense units are currently stationed in Pokrovsk itself: the National Guard, the Armed Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and others. On the one hand, the defense and repulsion of the Russian troops have been strengthened, but, as RBC-Ukraine wrote, the numerous units in the city also create difficulties in the sense that it is difficult to coordinate the work of all the fighters.

Danylo Borysenko, head of intelligence for the anti-aircraft missile and artillery division of the Rubizh brigade, spoke about the difficult situation in Pokrovsk.

The Institute for the Study of War also noted in its November 5 report that Russian troops near Sumy are suffering losses due to desertion and lack of training. Russian troops continued their offensive operations in the north of the Sumy region, but did not advance.
