Frontline situation
UK intelligence chief Anne Keast-Butler said Russia has lost nearly 500,000 troops in the war against Ukraine and claimed Vladimir Putin is retreating on the battlefield. She also warned that Moscow is intensifying hybrid attacks against the UK and Europe, targeting infrastructure, cyber systems, logistics, and democratic institutions.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's military denied Russian claims about the capture of Hraniv in the Kharkiv region, saying the village remains under Ukrainian control. The 14th Army Corps said Russian reports were part of a disinformation campaign aimed at hiding battlefield failures and undermining Ukrainian morale.
