Frontline situation

Following Ukraine's attack on the night of May 23, fires broke out in Novorossiysk at key Russian oil facilities used for military logistics. One of the main targets was the Sheskharis oil terminal. Ukrainian forces struck a base area for ships belonging to Russia's shadow fleet in the Black Sea.

Moreover, Ukrainian Security Service drones struck the Metafrax Chemicals enterprise in Russia's Perm Krai. Its products supply dozens of other Russian military production facilities, including those that produce aviation equipment, drones, rocket engines, and explosives.

According to ISW, an intensification of Ukrainian strikes against Russian ground lines of communication (GLOCs) in occupied Ukraine is creating cascading effects on the battlefield and slowing the advance of Russian forces.
