Ukrainian Security Service drones struck the Metafrax Chemicals enterprise in Russia's Perm Krai, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"I am grateful to the Security Service of Ukraine for striking one of Russia's important military enterprises. The distance from our border is 1,700 kilometers — this is Perm Krai," Zelenskyy said.

Metafrax Chemicals is an important part of Russia’s chemical industry.

Its products supply dozens of other Russian military production facilities, including those that produce aviation equipment, drones, rocket engines, and explosives.

"Now the production process at the enterprise has been halted. An important long-range sanction. Thank you!" the president added.

Earlier, Reuters reported that nearly all of the largest oil refineries in central Russia have either shut down or significantly reduced production due to massive Ukrainian drone strikes.

Against this backdrop, the security situation in Russia has begun to seriously affect public sentiment, with Russians increasingly more concerned about reports of attacks on regional areas than about events on the front line.
