Moscow's forces continue to lose soldiers and military hardware as fighting across the front line remains intense. Ukraine's military released updated daily figures on Russian combat losses in manpower and equipment.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to May 23, 2026, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel — nearly 1,354,810 (+950)
  • Tanks — 11,949 (+5)
  • Armored combat vehicles — 24,599 (+5)
  • Artillery systems — 42,579 (+68)
  • Multiple-launch rocket systems — 1,799 (+1)
  • Air defense systems — 1,394 (+4)
  • Aircraft — 436
  • Helicopters — 353
  • Ground robotic complex — 1,444 (+4)
  • Operational-tactical UAVs — 306,478 (+1,819)
  • Cruise missiles — 4,632
  • Ships/boats — 33
  • Submarines — 2
  • Automotive equipment and fuel tanks — 98,406 (+201)
  • Special equipment — 4,212 (+5).
