Frontline situation

Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said Russian forces are suffering significantly heavier battlefield losses than Ukraine’s military. According to Syrskyi, Russia’s total losses are about 3.5 times higher, while the ratio of soldiers killed can reach seven to nine Russian troops for every Ukrainian servicemember killed.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck one of Russia’s largest oil refineries, the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region, triggering a fire at the facility. According to Ukraine’s General Staff, the refinery processes around 17 million tons of oil annually and produces fuel supplies used by the Russian military.
