Russia continues to suffer heavy battlefield losses as Ukraine's military reports another day of significant damage to Russian forces and equipment. The latest figures from Ukraine's General Staff include losses in manpower as well as tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, and other military assets.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to May 12, 2026, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel — nearly 1,343,050 (+1,020)
  • Tanks — 11,926 (+2)
  • Armored combat vehicles — 24,553 (+2)
  • Artillery systems — 41,935 (+72)
  • Multiple-launch rocket systems — 1,785 (+2)
  • Air defense systems — 1,373
  • Aircraft — 435
  • Helicopters — 352
  • Ground robotic complex - 1,373 (+2)
  • Operational-tactical UAVs — 285,506 (+1,252)
  • Cruise missiles — 4,585
  • Ships/boats — 33
  • Submarines — 2
  • Automotive equipment and fuel tanks — 95,855 (+145)
  • Special equipment — 4,179 (+1)

Frontline situation

According to Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Ukraine emerged from the most difficult winter with stronger positions: the front line has been stabilized, while the interception rate of enemy drones reached 90%.
