Russia's losses in Ukraine as of March 27: +1,000 troops and 2,222 drones

Ukraine's General Staff reports 1,000 Russian troop losses in the past 24 hours, bringing total losses to around 1,293,170.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to March 27, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel — approximately 1,293,170 (+1,000);
- Tanks — 11,808 (+1);
- Armored combat vehicles — 24,287 (+9);
- Artillery systems — 38,863 (+68);
- Multiple-launch rocket systems — 1,700 (+2);
- Air defense systems — 1,337;
- Aircraft — 435;
- Helicopters — 350;
- Operational-tactical UAVs — 200,611 (+2,222);
- Cruise missiles — 4,491;
- Ships/boats — 33;
- Submarines — 2;
- Automotive equipment and fuel tanks — 85,569 (+217);
- Special equipment — 4,100.

Frontline situation
Ukrainian forces are continuing a counteroffensive in the Oleksandrivka sector, where they have liberated 9 settlements and fully cleared 3 more, regaining about 440 km² of territory as of March 25, 2026. Since the operation began on January 29, Russian forces have suffered 3,676 casualties, including 2,653 killed, 1,023 wounded, and 11 captured. Ukrainian troops have also destroyed hundreds of enemy assets, including 565 pieces of equipment, 1,283 drones, and 140 drone control stations.
Fighters from Ukraine's Phoenix unit destroyed a rare Russian R-416G-MS mobile radio relay station in the Luhansk region, cutting off a key line of communication between front-line units and command posts, the State Border Guard Service said.
