Russia's losses in Ukraine as of March 2: +over 1,100 troops and 200 units of equipment

In the last day, from March 1 to 2, Russian forces lost 1,110 soldiers, 8 tanks, and 2 MLRS in the war against Ukraine, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to March 2, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 876 720 (+1110) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 10 241 (+8);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 21 274 (+25);
- artillery systems - 23 959 (+51);
- MLRS - 1306 (+2);
- air defense systems - 1091 (+3);
- aircraft - 370;
- helicopters - 331;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 27 594 (+192);
- cruise missiles - 3,085;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;

Situation on the front and Russian airstrikes
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Ukrainian Armed Forces achieved success near Toretsk. However, Russian forces advanced near Velyka Novosilka.
On the evening of March 1, a Russian Shahed drone attacked a house in Zaporizhzhia, causing a fire at the site of the strike. One person was injured.
Additionally, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Odesa. The attack caused damage to a civilian vessel and port infrastructure, with civilians among the casualties.
