On the evening of March 1, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Odesa. The attack damaged port infrastructure and a vessel, leaving two people injured, informs the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

"As a result of the attack, port infrastructure and a civilian vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Panama, owned by a European company, were damaged. Two male port employees were injured," the statement said.

Kiper added that all relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack while medical personnel are providing necessary assistance to the injured.

"Two people injured in today's attack on port infrastructure have been hospitalized in the city's hospitals. They are receiving all necessary assistance," informed Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.

Earlier, reports indicated that an explosion in Odesa occurred at approximately 5:47 PM (Kyiv time). Before that, air raid alerts had been declared in several regions of Ukraine, and the Air Force warned of a ballistic missile threat from the south.
