Over the past day, from June 3 to June 4, the Russian army lost more than 1,000 soldiers and 223 units of military equipment, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to June 4, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 991,820 (+1,020) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,884 (+3);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,678 (+7);
  • artillery systems - 28,711 (+88);
  • MLRS - 1,402;
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,176;
  • aircraft - 413;
  • helicopters - 336;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 38,924 (+176);
  • cruise missiles - 3,271;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 50,730 (+123);
  • special equipment - 3,907 (+2).

Russian airstrikes

During the night of June 4, Russian forces once again attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones.

In particular, the drones launched a massive attack on Odesa. Dozens of powerful explosions were heard throughout the city due to the operation of air defense systems.

In addition, Russian troops also struck Kharkiv with drones and missiles.

Due to the hits, fires broke out in the city. There are injuries, and numerous instances of infrastructure damage have been recorded.
