Blasts rock Kharkiv amid Russian missile-drone attack

Explosions were heard in Kharkiv as the city came under attack by Russian strike drones, according to Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov and head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov.
"Several explosions were heard in Kharkiv. The city is under attack by the Russian UAVs. Stay safe," wrote Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, also reported a powerful explosion in the city.
"The information is being verified. As of now, there have been no reports of casualties. The threat remains. Stay in shelters until the all-clear is given," he wrote.
At 2:46 AM Kyiv time, Syniehubov noted that, preliminarily, the Russian strike occurred in Kharkiv’s Novobavarskyi district.
Further details are currently being clarified.
At 2:54 AM Kyiv time, Ihor Terekhov stated that missile strikes hit a civilian enterprise in Kharkiv’s Novobavarskyi district. Information on possible casualties is being clarified.
Syniehubov reported that emergency services have been dispatched to the scene.

Mayor Terekhov reported another explosion in Kharkiv.
"Kharkiv is under attack by enemy UAVs. Stay safe and remain in secure locations," Syniehubov said.
Later, Terekhov added that several Russian drones were heading toward Kharkiv.
"An attack on the city is expected shortly. Be careful!" he warned.

Russian airstrikes on Kharkiv
On the night of June 4, Russian forces once again launched kamikaze drone attacks using Shahed UAVs against Ukraine.
Russian troops have been striking Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region with UAVs almost every night.
On June 3, during the day, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with an FPV drone.
That same day, Russians also struck a village in the Izium district of Kharkiv region. Two people were killed.
During the night of June 3, Russia also carried out a massive drone strike on Kharkiv. Residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and vehicles were damaged.
