Russia's losses in Ukraine as of June 21: +1,060 troops and 19 artillery systems

Over the past day, from June 20 to 21, Russian forces suffered 1,060 troop losses on the front lines, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to June 21, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 1,010,390 (+1060) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 10,955 (+1);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 22,865 (+5);
- artillery systems - 29,393 (+19);
- MLRS - 1,421;
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,188;
- aircraft - 416;
- helicopters - 337;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 41,422 (+123);
- cruise missiles - 3,369;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 52,617 (+116);
- special equipment - 3,920.
Situation on the front line
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine earlier reported that 157 combat engagements took place on the front line on June 20. The fiercest fighting was in the Pokrovske direction, where the enemy launched 47 attacks on the Defense Forces' positions.
Meanwhile, Colonel Ants Kiviselg, Commander of the Defense Forces Intelligence Center of Estonia, stated that Russia is incapable of achieving a breakthrough in eastern Ukraine. He noted that the Russians are compensating for their limited progress with airstrikes targeting Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
