As of 10 p.m. on June 20, there were 157 combat engagements on the front lines over the past 24 hours. The heaviest enemy attacks came in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy attacks
The Russian army carried out 45 airstrikes, dropping 77 guided bombs. The enemy deployed 847 kamikaze drones and launched 3,445 attacks on our troops’ positions and civilian areas.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, there were 40 clashes with Russian forces, with one still ongoing. The enemy carried out 8 airstrikes, dropping 17 guided bombs, and launched 195 artillery attacks, including five from multiple rocket launch systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy launched 13 attacks in the areas of Zelene, Hlyboke, Kamianka, and Vovchansk. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made three unsuccessful assault attempts near Stepova Novoselivka and Holubivka.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 13 assaults around the towns of Novyi Myr, Olhivka, Hrekivka, Ridkodub, and in the areas of Karpivka and Hlushchenkove. One more clash is still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, the Russian army launched seven attacks near Hryhorivka and Ivano-Daryivka. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked near Bila Hora, Predtechyne, and Stupochky. Ukrainian units repelled all enemy assaults.
In the Toretsk direction, there were 18 clashes. The enemy tried to storm Ukrainian positions around Toretsk, Dyliyivka, Shcherbanivka, and toward Yablunivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 47 attacks near Poltavka, Myrne, Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Novomykolaivka, Muravka, Horikhove, Oleksiivka, Udachne, Nadiivka, Sribne, and in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Novopavlivka, and Novopidhirne. The Defense Forces repelled 43 assaults. Four clashes are still ongoing.
"Today on this front, preliminary reports confirm that 204 enemy troops were neutralized, including 110 confirmed killed. Additionally, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed two armored fighting vehicles, two cars, six motorcycles, two satellite communication terminals, one artillery gun, and six drones. Two more enemy artillery pieces were also hit," the military reports.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attacks near Odradne, Bahatyr, Veselyi, Vilne Pole, and Shevchenko. Six clashes are still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled one enemy assault near Malynivka. The enemy also carried out airstrikes on Huliaipole and Zaliznychne.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks toward Novoandriivka. The settlements of Chervona Krynytsia, Vasynivka, Omelnyk, Mala Tokmachka, and Kamianske were hit by airstrikes.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy made one unsuccessful attack on our defenders' positions.
Enemy losses on the front
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the current enemy casualties on the front. Over the past 24 hours, Russia has lost an additional 1,090 soldiers in combat.
In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 46 artillery systems and 81 vehicles.
