Russia's losses in Ukraine as of January 12: +1,060 troops and 354 drones

The Ukrainian military released another report on the losses of the Russian army recorded as of the morning of January 12, including data on personnel, equipment, and weapons, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to January 12 are estimated to be:
- Personnel – approximately 1 220 000 (+1060)
- Tanks – 11,541
- Armored combat vehicles – 23,892 (+7)
- Artillery systems – 35,973 (+21)
- Air defense systems – 1,270 (+1)
- Aircraft – 434
- Helicopters – 347
- UAV operational-tactical level – 104,421 (+353)
- Cruise missiles – 4,155
- Warships/boats – 28
- Submarines – 2
- Automotive and fuel tanks – 73,742 (+98)
- Special equipment – 4,042 (+3)

On the night of January 12, the Ukrainian city of Odesa came under an enemy attack, resulting in damage to infrastructure and residential buildings, as well as power outages. In particular, part of the Peresyp district was temporarily left without electricity, where emergency services have already begun restoration work.
On January 12, an air raid alert was announced twice in Kyiv — the signal sounded at around 03:50, becoming the second alert that night, following warnings from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine about attack drones moving toward the capital.
