Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Sunday morning, January 21, amounted to 760 occupiers, bringing the total casualties of the Russian army since the invasion to 376,030 military personnel. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 14 vehicles, 11 armored vehicles and 10 tanks, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Telegram.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to January 21, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: About 376,030 (+760) individuals.
  • Tanks: 6,181 (+10) units.
  • Armored personnel vehicles (APV): 11,466 (+11) units.
  • Artillery systems: 8,875 (+7) units.
  • Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 968 (+1) units.
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 654 (+1) units.
  • Aircraft: 331 units.
  • Helicopters: 324 units.
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 6,936 (+2) units.
  • Cruise missiles: 1,818 units.
  • Warships/boats: 23 units.
  • Submarines: 1 unit.
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks: 11,862 (+14) units.
  • Special equipment: 1,392 (+3) units.

Frontline situation

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, there were 80 military clashes on the frontlines in Ukraine within the past day. Ukrainian defenders continued measures to expand the bridgehead in the Kherson direction.

In particular, according to the Institute for the Study of War, positional battles continued in the Robotyne district and to the east of Robotyne near Verbove.
