Russia's losses in Ukraine as of January 16: 1100 troops and 36 APCs
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Tuesday morning, January 16, amount to 1,100 occupants, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to 372,090. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 36 armored personnel carriers, 33 enemy vehicles, 30 artillery systems, and 24 tanks, according to the Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 16.01.24 are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 372,090 (+1110) Russians were killed;
- tanks - 6113 (+24) units;
- armored personnel carriers - 11,358 (+36) units;
- artillery systems - 8801 (+30) units;
- MLRS - 961 (+3) units;
- air defense systems - 653 (+3) units;
- aircraft - 331 (+2) units;
- helicopters - 324 units;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 6877 (+12) units;
- cruise missiles - 1816 (+1) units;
- ships/boats - 23 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- motor vehicles and tankers - 11,731 (+33) units;
- special equipment - 1365 (+9) units.
Situation at the frontline
Ukrainian troops repelled 32 enemy attacks in the Lyman direction and are expanding their foothold in the Kherson direction. Ukrainian defense aviation struck 22 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
In particular, according to the Institute of War Studies, Ukrainian and Russian troops continued positional fighting in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region, despite the bad weather in the area. The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck at the position of the Russian Airborne Forces near Bakhmut.
