Frontline situation

On February 18, explosions were reported overnight in Cheboksary, Chuvashia, with Russian sources suggesting a possible drone strike near the VNIIR-Progress plant, which manufactures components for missiles and drones.

Ukrainian forces cleared the eastern part of Hryshyne, northwest of Pokrovsk, eliminating about ten Russian troops, according to the 7th Rapid Response Corps. The assault was repelled using a Leopard tank and bomber drones as Russian units attempted to infiltrate the village under the cover of fog.

Ukraine’s military intelligence says Russia is expanding production of naval drones, including high-speed Triton models, potentially for strikes on civilian shipping and ports. While their combat effectiveness remains unproven, Moscow appears to be preparing for mass deployment and developing underwater systems to counter Ukrainian drones.
