Ukrainian troops are relentlessly battering Russian forces and their war machinery. In just the past 24 hours, 740 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to February 18, 2026, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel — approximately 1,256,080 (+740);
  • Tanks — 11,681 (+3);
  • Armored combat vehicles — 24,051 (+6);
  • Artillery systems — 37,363 (+40);
  • Multiple-launch rocket systems — 1,648;
  • Air defense systems — 1,302 (+1);
  • Aircraft — 435;
  • Helicopters — 347;
  • Operational-tactical UAVs — 137,924 (+1,851);
  • Cruise missiles — 4,314 (+26);
  • Ships/boats — 29;
  • Submarines — 2;
  • Automotive equipment and fuel trucks — 78,919 (+194);
  • Special equipment — 4,072 (+1).

Frontline situation

On the night of February 17, the Ukrainian military struck the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region.

Moreover, Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian Ka-27 helicopter in Crimea. Several of the Russian drone control points were also hit in the Kursk region, as well as the occupied territories in the south of Ukraine.

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) also carried out successful attacks. Ukrainian drones hit the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in Russia’s Krasnodar region and the Russian chemical plant Metafrax Chemicals located more than 1,600 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
