Ukraine's latest military assessment points to continued Russian losses on the battlefield, including troop casualties and damage to military equipment during the past day.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 7, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
Ukrainian drones targeted oil refineries in Russia's Yaroslavl and Bashkortostan regions overnight, sparking a fire at one facility, while Ukraine's Defense Forces also struck Russian military boats and shadow fleet vessels in the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, Russian forces executed a captured Ukrainian soldier near Myrne in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian prosecutors said, adding that a war crimes investigation has been launched.
