Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 25: +1,200 troops, air defense system and 2 MLRS
Over the past 24 hours, from August 24 to August 25, Russian forces have lost 1,190 soldiers, one air defense system, and 31 operational-tactical level drones on the front lines, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of August 25, 2024, the total Russian combat losses are estimated as follows:
- personnel - about 607,680 (+1,190) troops;
- tanks - 8,547 (+5);
- armored personnel vehicles - 16,631 (+11);
- artillery systems - 17,396 (+47);
- MLRS - 1,171 (+2);
- anti-air warfare systems - 936 (+1);
- aircraft - 367;
- helicopters - 328;
- UAVs operational-tactical level - 14,095 (+31);
- cruise missiles - 2,444;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tankers - 23,475 (+92);
- special equipment - 2,928 (+17).
According to ISW, Ukrainian forces have achieved success in the Luhansk region, while Russian troops continue their active offensive in the Donetsk region.
Last night, explosions were reported in Kharkiv and Chuhuiv. As a result of the attack, a private house caught fire, and two people were injured.
Additionally, on the evening of Saturday, August 24, Russian forces launched rockets at Sumy. The attack resulted in seven people being wounded.
