Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 20: 950 troops and 168 units of equipment

Over the past 24 hours, from April 19 to 20, the Russian army lost 950 soldiers and 49 artillery systems on the front lines, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 20, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 941,100 (+950) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 10,677 (+1);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 22,271 (+5);
- artillery systems - 26,649 (+49);
- MLRS - 1,368;
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,139;
- aircraft - 370;
- helicopters - 335;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 33,240 (+64);
- cruise missiles - 3,148;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 45,274 (+112);
- special equipment - 3,859 (+1);
Frontline situation and Russia's ceasefire
Russian President Vladimir Putin unilaterally declared a 30-hour ceasefire, which lasts from 18:00 Kyiv time on Saturday, April 19, until midnight from Sunday to Monday, April 21.
The Defense Forces were ordered not to conduct offensive operations, but they are allowed to respond symmetrically to any violations of the ceasefire.
However, de facto, the Russian forces continue combat actions and shelling in certain areas of the front.
