Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 19: +1,070 troops and 2,019 drones

According to new numbers from Ukraine's General Staff, the Armed Forces left 1,070 Russian soldiers killed and wounded over the past day alone. Ukrainian military also carried out a successful wave of attacks on the Russian fleet, oil refineries, and logistic sites.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to April 19, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel — nearly 1,318,220 (+1,070);
- Tanks — 11,882 (+6);
- Armored combat vehicles — 24,420 (+10);
- Artillery systems — 40,324 (+82);
- Multiple-launch rocket systems — 1,748 (+5);
- Air defense systems — 1,349;
- Aircraft — 435;
- Helicopters — 350;
- Operational-tactical UAVs — 247,131 (+2,019);
- Cruise missiles — 4,549;
- Ships/boats — 33;
- Submarines — 2;
- Automotive equipment and fuel tanks — 90,397 (+203);
- Special equipment — 4,131 (+2).

Frontline situation
During an operation in Crimea, three Russian military ships were struck simultaneously: the large landing ship Yamal, the large landing ship Azov, and a military ship of an unidentified type. There is also information about the likely destruction of a Project 21980 Grachonok anti-sabotage boat.
Moreover, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck four important oil refining industry facilities in Russia at once on the night of April 18. The targets include Novokuybyshevsk and Syzran oil refineries in Russia’s Samara region, RPK Vysotsk Lukoil-2 oil terminal in the Leningrad region, and Tikhoretsk oil pumping station in Krasnodar Krai.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian partisans in Luhansk took out of service a substation supplying electricity to a railway hub used for military cargo transport.
