Russian losses in the war in Ukraine as of Thursday morning, April 18, amount to 910 occupiers, with the total number of losses for the Russian army since the start of invasion standing at 456,960 military personnel. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 31 Russian vehicles and 13 artillery systems, according to the Strategic Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to April 18, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: approximately 456,960 (+910) individuals eliminated;
  • Tanks: 7,196 (+3) units;
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 13,835 (+8) units;
  • Artillery systems: 11,637 (+13) units;
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket system): 1,046 units;
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 760 units;
  • Aircraft: 347 units;
  • Helicopters: 325 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 9,284 (+5) units;
  • Cruise missiles: 2,093 units;
  • Warships/boats: 26 units;
  • Submarines: 1 unit;
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 15,618 (+31) units;
  • Special equipment: 1,915 (+5) units.

Frontline situation

According to the Institute for the Study of War, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled several attempts by the Russians to advance near Siversk, destroying their equipment.

There were 87 combat engagements on the frontlines in Ukraine during the past day. Aviation targeted 8 areas of enemy personnel concentration.
