Russian forces attacked the Okhtyrka community in the Sumy region with drones. There are casualties, states Sumy Regional Military Administration head Oleh Hryhorov.

On the night of August 20, Russian attack drones struck the private sector in the Okhtyrka community of the Sumy region, sparking fires at the impact sites.

Local Telegram channels reported more than 20 explosions.

Preliminary reports indicate no fatalities, but there are injuries, and people are seeking medical assistance.

“All emergency services are involved in eliminating the consequences, and the victims are receiving the necessary aid,” Oleh Hryhorov said.

As RBC-Ukraine previously reported, on the evening of August 17, Russian forces struck the Sumy community with a ballistic missile, damaging a school building.

On the night of August 18, four attack drones hit civilian infrastructure in the community, causing a fire in a non-residential building.

On August 15, Russian forces targeted a market in central Sumy with a drone. RBC-Ukraine reported on the aftermath.
