Russia's artillery advantage decreases: General Staff reports numbers
Russia is losing its significant advantage in the use of ammunition in the war against Ukraine, reported RBC-Ukraine's source in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the source, while previously the Russians used about 70,000 rounds of ammunition, and Ukraine used 10,000, now the Ukrainian defenders use 15,000, and the Russian forces use 45,000.
According to the source, Russians use about 1,300 FPV drones per day, while Ukrainian defenders launch more of these drones.
What preceded it
Back in late June, RBC-Ukraine's source in the General Staff said that the ratio of artillery use between Ukraine and Russia had dropped to 1:3. At the beginning of the year, it was 1:7.
In late February, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained why it was important to reduce the gap in the use of artillery with Russia. According to him, with a ratio of 1:3 or 1:1.5, Ukrainian defenders will be able to continue de-occupying the territories.
By the way, the news about the reduction of the ammunition gap came as Ukraine began receiving ammunition under the Czech initiative. So far, 50,000 units have been delivered, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said today, July 16.
