'Russia 'responded' to its destroyed aircraft by attacking civilians in Ukraine,' says Ukainian Foreign Minister

Russia, by launching missile and drone strikes on Ukraine, "responded" to the destruction of its strategic aviation. Russia's attacks are acts of aggression and terror, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha reports.
"Overnight, Russia 'responded' to its destroyed aircraft… by attacking civilians in Ukraine. Kyiv, Lutsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Kremenchuk, and others. Multi-story buildings hit. Energy infrastructure damaged. There are killed and wounded people throughout the country," Sybiha wrote on X.
Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the difference between Ukraine and Russia lies in the fact that Ukraine strikes legitimate military targets, for example, aircraft equipped to bomb children. Russia, on the other hand, attacks residential areas, civilians, and critical infrastructure.
"Putting Ukraine and Russia on equal footing is unacceptable. Russia is the aggressor, and Ukraine defends itself. Ukraine's strikes are self-defense, whereas Russia's are acts of aggression and terror," Sybiha stated.
Furthermore, a Ukrainian high-ranking official believes that Russia's overnight terror attack demonstrates that international pressure on Moscow must be increased as soon as possible.
"Our response should be strong sanctions, which can increase the cost of war for the aggressor, and new decisions strengthening Ukraine's defense," Sybiha added.
In particular, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs referred to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Spiderweb operation. On June 1, Ukrainian forces used FPV drones to attack four enemy airfields. As a result, 41 aircraft of Russia's strategic aviation were hit.
Massive Russian attack on June 6
On June 6, Russia launched yet another massive strike on Ukraine. In Kyiv, three rescuers who were helping people during the attack were killed.
In Ternopil, the enemy targeted industrial and infrastructure sites. Ten people were injured, including rescuers. A deterioration in air quality was recorded in the city.
Lutsk, Chernihiv, Kremenchuk, and the Kyiv and Lviv regions also came under attack. Across Ukraine, at least three people were killed and dozens injured.
