Russia rejects idea of European or US troops in Kyiv's security guarantees

Moscow stated that security guarantees for Ukraine cannot foresee the presence of foreign military contingents. In the Kremlin, they claim that such a variant does not suit them, according to the press secretary of the president of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov.
Answering the journalists’ question, Peskov stated that security guarantees for Ukraine cannot be provided by foreign military contingents, this will not suit Russia.
"Can foreign, especially European and American military contingents ensure and provide security guarantees of Ukraine? Definitely no, they cannot. This cannot be a security guarantee of Ukraine, which would suit our country," said Peskov.
Meeting in Paris
Yesterday, September 4, about 30 world leaders will meet with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to discuss future security guarantees for Kyiv.
The negotiations took place against the background of the absence of clear guarantees from the USA, which adds additional pressure on the allies of Ukraine.
Moreover, according to Reuters, the allies have already completed technical plans regarding the guarantees and are preparing a political signal to the American president.
Confirmation of this came from the statement of the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, who stated that the preparation of the guarantees had been completed.
Later, the mass media also reported that the meeting of the leaders of the participant countries of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris nevertheless ended with some concreteness.
In particular, as it turned out, several countries are prepared to send 30,000 soldiers to Ukraine within the framework of the security guarantees.
