Russia preparing to attack Poland? MoD warns of Kremlin's plans

Russia is not currently preparing a full-scale invasion of Poland similar to its war against Ukraine. However, the Kremlin is escalating tensions and preparing a series of new sabotage operations, states Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to RMF24.
According to the Polish defense chief, the Kremlin's strategy toward Poland is unfolding step by step. While there are no signs of an open military invasion, Russia is intensifying its propaganda, provocations, and sabotage activities.
"These will likely include provocations: drones - mainly intercepted and modified Ukrainian drones; the Baltic Sea, an area of critical importance to the Alliance's security; and sabotage operations," Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
The Polish minister also pointed to recent changes in Russian legislation that allow Moscow to interfere in other countries' affairs under the pretext of "protecting the rights of compatriots."
"Russian institutions are already claiming that the rights of (Russian) citizens to preserve their culture and language in the Baltic states are under threat. The situation is gradually escalating. Step by step, Russia is raising the stakes," he stressed.
Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said Belarus had warned Warsaw about a possible terrorist attack being prepared on Polish territory. Poland's security services and the Foreign Ministry are currently verifying the information.
Russia may be preparing false-flag provocations against NATO countries. In particular, this could involve the use of drones disguised as Ukrainian ones to carry out attacks in the Baltic states and stage provocations in Poland.
