Russia plans to conduct combat operations not only in Ukraine. The Kremlin has begun preparing strategic reserves, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, during a speech at the international forum GLOBSEC-2025 in Prague.

Referring to intelligence data, he emphasized that the Kremlin is preparing strategic reserves for the potential expansion of armed aggression beyond Ukraine.

"According to our intelligence, Russia has begun preparing strategic reserves, which means plans for combat operations not only in Ukraine. Allies need full diplomatic mobilization to stop this war," said Sybiha.

He called on Western partners to act decisively and consistently, particularly by intensifying sanctions pressure on the Kremlin.

"Putin (ed. – Russian dictator) understands only force, so now it is important to timely apply sanctions, using them as economic weapons to pressure Russia," the minister added.

Russia is preparing for war with NATO

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine wrote about a report by the Bundeswehr, which stated that the Russian authorities are preparing for a large-scale war against NATO. It is likely that the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wants to use force to achieve his goals. Later, the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, stated that Russia may launch a new attack in a few years. He believes that Lithuania has four to five years to prepare.

RBC-Ukraine has already reported that the Russian Federation has increased monitoring of NATO’s military activity in the Baltic Sea. The Russians are also conducting shows of force and provocations.

In addition, the Chief of the General Staff of the German Armed Forces, Carsten Breuer, issued an order for the full equipping of the German armed forces with weapons and other materials by 2029.
