Russia plans to change its tactics during massive air attacks on Ukraine, warned President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a briefing with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Kyiv.

The head of state said Ukraine needs to prepare for Russia to increase its use of jet-powered drones.

Zelenskyy warned that there may not be as many as conventional Shahed drones, but Russia wants to focus on quality over quantity.

"As for massive strikes, attacks roughly like the ones we are seeing now, I believe they will focus not on quantity but on quality: moving away from conventional Shaheds and maximizing the share of jet-powered ones. This is what we are seeing," the president said.

He also added that Russia would continue using conventional and ballistic missiles. However, conventional missiles can be intercepted.

"Ballistic missiles are still a challenge. And you can see, you can feel it now: they are massively terrorizing us with jet-powered Shaheds. We are experiencing this just as we experienced the mass use of Shaheds before we learned how to counter them," Zelenskyy concluded.

As previously reported, President Zelenskyy said Ukraine is seeking ammunition for F-16s to counter jet-powered drones.
