Russia plans to produce 3,000 long-range missiles in 2025 – Intelligence report

Oleh Ivashchenko, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, during the "Ukraine. Year 2025" forum, stated that the Russian Federation plans to produce approximately 3,000 long-range missiles in 2025. Moscow acknowledges that it is ahead of Europe in weapons production.
According to Ivashchenko, Russia's production plans for 2025 include the manufacturing of over 7 million artillery shells and large-caliber mines.
"In this regard, Russia is clearly competing and understands that it is producing significantly more and at a much faster pace than all European countries combined. The production of ammunition and long-range missiles is planned to reach about 3,000 units this year. These are the weapons that destroy our infrastructure every day," Ivashchenko stated.
Foreign components in Russian weapons
Russian forces have increased their missile and drone attacks against Ukraine, using foreign-made components for weapons production.
In Russian missiles, particularly in the Kinzhal and Kh-101, foreign parts have been repeatedly found, including components from companies based in Ukraine’s allied countries.
In March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that at least 49 foreign-made components were discovered in a Kinzhal missile.
Additionally, we previously reported that Russia has started developing a new missile for its Kornet anti-tank missile system. The new weapon shares many characteristics with Ukraine's Korsar anti-tank guided missile (ATGM).
According to Ukrainian intelligence, as of the end of December 2024, Russia's long-range missile stockpile consisted of approximately 1,400 missiles of various types.
It is also worth recalling that on the night of February 23, Russia launched a record-breaking 267 drones against Ukraine.
