Russia has opened 3 new sites for launching drones in Ukraine. This may allow Russia to increase the number of Shaheds launched in one attack, according to the RBC-Ukraine article "Ceasefire or imitation? Has Russia stopped shelling energy sector and what's Putin up to".

In recent months, Russia has honed its drone attack tactics. Russia launches a swarm of drones (both attack and spoof) at a single target to overwhelm Ukrainian air defense.

At the same time, while approaching the target, these drones maneuver in altitude, flying too high or too low, causing them to disappear from radar. At the same time, the Russians can launch 100-200 of these drones per night. These factors complicate the work of air defense.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Russia has already opened 3 new drone launch sites, all in the Prymorsko-Akhtarsk area, in addition to the seven already operating. This may allow Russia to increase the number of Shaheds launched during a single attack, i.e., in one day or night.

Not all Russian drones fly accurately and at the correct coordinates, so they indirectly hit Ukrainian civilian objects. However, we cannot rule out the possibility that some strikes are purely terrorist and are aimed specifically at civilian buildings.

Russian night drone attack on Ukraine

On the night of March 26, Russian troops fired 117 drones at Ukraine from 4 directions. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 56 Russian drones, and another 48 Russian imitator drones were lost locally (without negative consequences).

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Cherkasy regions were struck by the Russian attack.

Last night, Russian occupiers attacked Kryvyi Rih with drones. Local authorities said it was the largest kamikaze drone attack on the city since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian shelling damaged an administrative building, warehouses, a business, and cars.

Russian invaders also attacked the town of Okhtyrka, Sumy region, and fires broke out. Houses, an enterprise, a market, and cars were damaged.
