Russia offers cynical justification for missile strike on Odesa port

On May 23, Russian troops launched a missile strike on the port of Odesa, using two ballistic missiles. Today, Russia is cynically trying to justify this deadly attack, the Russian news agency TASS reports.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that an Iskander missile was allegedly used to strike a container ship carrying 100 containers with military cargo bound for the port of Odesa.
According to the Ministry, during the Russian Armed Forces' strike on the container ship with military cargo in the port of Odesa, a secondary detonation and a large fire allegedly occurred.

In the afternoon of May 23, the Russian military launched a double missile strike on Odesa. The Russian troops attacked the port with two ballistic missiles.
As a result, one port worker died immediately, and eight more people were injured, four of whom were in serious condition.
Later, reports indicated that the number of dead victims of the missile strike had increased to three.
Yesterday, a 71-year-old man died in the hospital. Today, reports indicated that another man, aged 41, died from his injuries.
However, Russia did not stop there and today launched a repeat strike on the Odesa port. On the night of May 24, the Russian Armed Forces attacked the Odesa region with strike drones.
The enemy targeted port infrastructure facilities.
