Russia carried out a missile strike on a civilian port in Odesa. As a result of the attack, one port worker was killed and eight others were injured, according to Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba, and the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

"Russia struck the Odesa port with two ballistic missiles," Kuleba said.

According to him, one person, a port employee, was killed in the attack. Eight others, also civilian employees, were injured.

"Four of them are in serious condition. All are receiving medical assistance," the minister added.

Kuleba said the strike caused damage to the engine room, shattered windows and doors in administrative buildings, and destroyed vehicles and equipment.

"Once again, Russia targeted a peaceful, strategically important site that plays a key role in global food security," he emphasized.

Kuleba noted that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, nearly 400 units of port infrastructure and more than 30 vessels have been damaged or destroyed. A total of 106 civilians have been affected by Russian attacks on ports.

Oleh Kiper urged residents and visitors in the Odesa region to take air raid alerts seriously and immediately seek shelter when sirens sound.

Earlier this morning, Russian forces also launched drone attacks on the Odesa region. That strike also resulted in injuries.

Overnight, Russian drones attacked Ukraine from several directions. Air defense forces repelled the enemy attack throughout the night

Russian drones even reached Ukraine's western regions overnight. In the Chernivtsi region, enemy drones struck a railway facility.

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, buildings and vehicles were damaged in the Kolomyia district.
