Russia's advance on the front is not just aimed at occupying new territories in Ukraine. The Kremlin also seeks to undermine international support for Ukraine, according to a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Andrii Yusov.

"One of the crucial aspects of conducting special operations and leveraging the situation on the front line for these purposes by the aggressor is the weakening of the pro-Ukrainian coalition, weakening Ukraine's standing in the world," he said.

Yusov added that the Russians aim to portray the supposed futility of Ukraine's struggle and the "impossibility of defeating" the aggressor.

"They (the Russians) are trying to disseminate this through agents of influence and convey it to the world. However, we see that it is not working. The Ukrainian international coalition remains resilient, and Ukraine's support continues. Although it is a challenging task for the military and political leadership, as well as diplomats," added the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

Enemy plans

Recently, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, said that Russia currently has no plans to continue the war in 2025. According to him, the Kremlin understands that waging war is costly. However, Budanov emphasized that the Putin regime could change its mind.

Andrii Yusov confirmed Budanov's statements, adding that the impact of sanctions is affecting the Russian economy, and this influence will only intensify in the future.
