Russia massively strikes Ukraine's Kyiv region: Villages left without gas, fire at factory

Rescuers extinguished a fire at an industrial enterprise in the Kyiv region, which was attacked by enemy drones on the night of August 8, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Footage of the firefighting operation shows burnt-out vehicles and debris. 29 firefighters and 5 units of equipment were involved in the operation.
At present, there are no reports of casualties or injuries.
The blast wave damaged buildings belonging to a shopping center and a fitness club in the Obukhiv district.

Law enforcement officers also arrived at the scene of the incident and added that damage had been caused to a store and an office building. The police also published photos showing broken windows in a high-rise building.

Russian attack on Kyiv region on night of September 8
Russia launched several groups of drones in the Kyiv region on the night of September 8. There were reports of power outages. Russia also struck one of the thermal power generation facilities, the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant.
According to the head of the Kyiv region's military administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, emergency repairs are being carried out on the gas network in the Obukhiv district as a result of the Russian attack. In this regard, eight settlements in the district will have no gas supply on September 8 and 9.
"This concerns subscribers in Kozyn, Zhukivtsi, Ukrainka, Pliutiv, Veremia, Khalepia, Trypillia, and Shcherbanivka. In total, gas supply will be cut off for 8,093 subscribers. The service will be restored gradually," said the head of the Regional State Administration.
On the night of September 8, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 142 Shahed and Gerbera strike drones and other types of drones, 112 of which were shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force.
Last month, Russia resumed strikes on Ukraine's energy facilities. Russia's Vladimir Putin said that such attacks would continue, resulting in residential buildings, hospitals, kindergartens, and schools being deprived of light and heat.
