Russia lost over 180,000 troops in Ukraine in 2025

Since the beginning of 2025, Russia has lost more than 180,000 of its military personnel in the war against Ukraine. Ukrainian troops continue to beat the Russian troops along the entire front line, says Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Russia has lost 185,000 troops since the beginning of the year. Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to beat Russian troops along the entire front line. Each destroyed Russian invader is a step towards a just peace," Syrskyi emphasized.
The Commander-in-Chief also thanked the Ukrainian defenders for their effective combat work.
The other day, Syrskyi said that since the beginning of this year alone, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed over 1,000 Russian tanks and over 2,500 Russian armored combat vehicles.
Russian losses in war against Ukraine
Over the past day, the missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 3 areas of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and 5 Russian missile troops and artillery facilities.
In total, Russian losses amounted to 1,030 troops over the past day. Ukrainian troops also neutralized a Russian tank, 5 armored combat vehicles, 58 artillery systems, a multiple launch rocket system, 118 operational and tactical unmanned aerial vehicles, 105 vehicles, 2 special vehicles, and 2 Russian heavy flamethrower systems.
