Ukraine says it has destroyed 1,159 Russian tanks and 2,510 AFVs since 2025

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to destroy Russian forces and their equipment. This includes thousands of tanks and armored vehicles since the beginning of 2025.
"Ukrainian soldiers continue to destroy the enemy and their equipment. Since the beginning of this year alone, the Defense Forces have struck more than one thousand enemy tanks (1,159) and over two and a half thousand combat armored vehicles (2,510). I thank our defenders for their professional combat work. The fight continues. Glory to Ukraine," the statement said.
Syrskyi also shared a short video showing the Armed Forces destroying enemy equipment.
Russian losses in the war against Ukraine
Over the past day, from May 16 to May 17, Russian forces lost 910 personnel in combat. In addition, the Armed Forces destroyed 34 artillery systems, 155 drones, and 96 enemy vehicles.
Overall, from February 24, 2022, to May 17, 2025, the estimated losses of Russian Armed Forces personnel reached approximately 972,600.
