Last night, Russia launched Zircon anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, as well as various types of drones at Ukraine, according to a report by the Ukrainian Air Force.

Russian missiles were launched from Russia's Kursk, Rostov, Voronezh, and Oryol regions. At present, the Ukrainian Air Force is not disclosing their number.

As for the drones, they attacked from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

"The enemy attacked Ukraine with 120 Shahed-type attack UAVs (most of them jet-powered), Gerbera drones, and Parodiya-type decoy drones," the defenders said.

The following were involved in destroying enemy targets:

  • Aviation;

  • Anti-aircraft missile units;

  • Electronic warfare and unmanned systems units;

  • Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The Ukrainian Air Force emphasized that the main direction of the enemy attack was the Kyiv region and Zaporizhzhia.

"According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defenses shot down/suppressed 98 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as other types of drones, in the north, south, and east of the country," the air defenders reported.

The Ukrainian Air Force also confirmed that some Russian targets hit 21 locations, while downed targets or their debris fell at five locations.

"The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the defenders urged.

Earlier, Ukraine's State Emergency Service showed photos of the aftermath of the attack on Kyiv on the night of August 11.

In addition, it became known the day before that Russia had received a new shipment of ballistic missiles from North Korea.
