During the night of January 25, Russia attacked Ukraine with two ballistic missiles and 102 strike drones from multiple directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the enemy targets, according to the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.

According to the military, from 6:30 p.m. on January 24 until the morning of January 25, Russian forces launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles/S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles from Russia’s Bryansk region.

The enemy also launched 102 strike drones of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other types of UAVs from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Shatalovo in Russia, and the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region. About 70 of them were Shahed drones.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 87 enemy drones of the Shahed type, "Gerbera", and other UAVs in the north, south, center, and east of the country.

Impacts by 15 strike drones were recorded at 10 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at one location. Information regarding two enemy missiles is being clarified.

"The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace. Please follow safety rules!" the Air Force warned.

Shelling of Ukraine

As a reminder, during the night of January 25, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with strike drones. At least one drone impact was recorded in the city.

During the night of January 24, the enemy launched 375 drones and 21 missiles at Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, as of the morning, air defense forces had shot down 372 targets, including 15 missiles and 357 drones.

Kyiv and Kharkiv were the main targets of last night’s attack. In the capital, damage and destruction were recorded in five districts. In addition, disruptions to heat and water supply occurred on the city’s left bank.

Residential buildings were also damaged in Kharkiv as a result of the drone attack.
