On the evening of June 9, Russian forces launched Shahed attack drones toward Ukraine. Air raid alerts were declared in several regions, and there is a risk of strikes, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the official air raid alert map.

The first drones entered Ukrainian airspace at around 8:00 p.m. They moved through Sumy region, initially heading toward Zaporizhzhia.

Later, the drones changed course toward Dnipropetrovsk region. Several groups of Shaheds were moving in the direction of Kryvyi Rih.

The Air Force currently reports the following movements of Russian drones:

  • Some Shahed drones from Sumy region are heading toward Chernihiv region.
  • Groups are flying through Sumy region past Terny and Nedryhailiv toward Poltava region.
  • Drone groups from Dnipropetrovsk region are moving into Kirovohrad region.
  • UAVs are heading in the direction of Kropyvnytskyi.

According to the military, groups of drones are heading toward Kharkiv.
There is also a threat of strikes on Kremenchuk, Myrhorod, and Poltava.

In Chernihiv region, UAVs are moving toward the towns of Mena and Ichnia.
New groups of attack drones are flying through Kherson region toward Mykolaiv region.
Additionally, drones from Kirovohrad region are entering Cherkasy region.

Attack on Ukraine – June 9

During the night of June 9, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. A total of 499 aerial targets were recorded in Ukrainian airspace.

It was also noted that today set a grim record for drone launches — Russia deployed 479 drones.

In addition, the enemy used four Kinzhal hypersonic missiles in the strike.
