Russia launches Shahed drones, threat to multiple regions

Russian forces launched several groups of kamikaze drones toward Ukraine on the evening of May 27. Due to the threat of Russian attacks, air raid alerts were declared in several regions, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
At 10:46 PM Kyiv time, the Ukrainian military reported that kamikaze drones had entered Ukraine’s airspace, with one group moving from the Sumy region toward the Poltava region.
Later, the Air Force confirmed that another group of attack drones was flying over the Kharkiv region.
As of 11:10 PM Kyiv time, Russian UAVs were en route to Myrhorod. Additional groups of Shahed drones were also spotted moving from the Donetsk region toward the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Shahed maneuvers
At 11:52 PM Kyiv time, the Air Force updated the drone movement report, stating that:

UAVs were seen in the Dnipropetrovsk region, flying past Synelnykove westward;

In the Poltava region, Russian drones were heading toward Kremenchuk.
At 12:47 AM Kyiv time, the military reported that Russian UAVs were spotted over Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions, and that new groups of Shahed drones were entering the Sumy region.
At 1:27 AM Kyiv time, the Air Force said groups of kamikaze drones in the Mykolaiv region were heading toward Snihurivka. By 1:57 AM Kyiv time, they reported that drones from the Mykolaiv area were flying toward the Black Sea.
Authorities in regions under air raid alert urged residents to stay in shelters, follow the two walls rule, and maintain information silence.
Russian drone attacks
In a comment to RBC-Ukraine, Yurii Ihnat, head of the communications department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, noted that during attacks on Ukraine, Russian forces are changing their tactics for launching kamikaze drones in an attempt to bypass air defenses.
He also suggested that Russian drone strikes against Ukraine could intensify, pointing out a growing trend in the use of Shahed drones.
