On the night of April 3, Russia launched nearly 40 UAVs against Ukraine. The drones attacked from three directions, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine report.

In total, the enemy launched 39 Shahed-type UAVs and decoy drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Kursk.

The following units were involved in repelling the attack:

  • Anti-aircraft missile forces;

  • Electronic warfare units;

  • Mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

As of 9 a.m., 29 Shahed UAVs were confirmed shot down over the northern and eastern regions of the country. In addition, seven decoy drones were lost locally without causing any negative consequences.

The attack affected the following regions:

  • Kharkiv region;
  • Donetsk region;
  • Dnipropetrovsk region.

Shelling of Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the enemy has regularly shelled Ukrainian territory. Every night, terrorists also launch UAVs, creating an additional threat to civilians.

For instance, on the night of April 2, the Russians launched 74 drones. at Ukraine. At that time, air defense forces managed to shoot down 41 of enemy targets.
