On the night of January 23, Russia attacked Ukraine with 101 strike drones from multiple directions. Air defense forces shot down 76 hostile unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the military, from 8:00 p.m. on January 22 until the morning of January 23, Russia attacked with 101 strike drones of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera drones, and unmanned aerial vehicles of other types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Donetsk in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. About 60 of them were Shahed drones.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data as of 8:00 a.m., air defense shot down or suppressed 76 hostile Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicles, Gerbera drones, and other drone types.

Hits by 19 strike drones were recorded at 12 locations.

"The attack is ongoing, with several hostile UAVs still in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force warned.

Attacks on Ukraine

Yesterday, January 22, Kryvyi Rih was under a continuous missile and drone attack for more than 10 hours — the longest since the start of the war.

According to the latest data, more than 10 people were injured as a result of the attack, including four children aged from 1.5 to 10 years. Six patients remain in hospitals in the city, all in moderate condition.

Eighteen buildings were damaged, including 13 apartment buildings (one of them almost destroyed) and five private houses. Power supply disruptions were also reported.

Russia also carried out a drone attack on Dnipro. As a result, a 16-story building was partially destroyed, and casualties were reported.

The city of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region was left without electricity and heating following a Russian attack on the night of January 22.

Overall, last night, Russia attacked Ukraine with 94 strike drones from various directions. Air defense forces shot down 80 hostile unmanned aerial vehicles.

At the same time, hits by 10 strike drones were recorded at 10 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at four locations.
